Trucktors

The Trucktor was first developed by our team and Sean Riley, who manages Freestyle Hops . Sean had the idea of a little truck with a conveyor on it. So, after purchasing a Daihatsu Hijet we chopped off the rear and extended the chassis and wheel base about 2m. Then we could fit the conveyor deck on the rear which is chain driven to prevent tracking issues. We then fitted an inhouse custom adapted 12V right angle drive gearbox that was timed to first gear idle. This was so the load of hops could be laid out the same way the topcutter loaded the hops on the Trucktor making it easier for the guys to hook up the vines to feed into the machine.
